"This is the best transportation the Iraqis have? They don't even need oil!"

Here is a photo of myself with Majs. Steve McQueenie and Al Litster of the UK. Soldier in green...Marine in tan.

Hanging Out .... Dreaming of Home . . .

Me atop a destroyed Iraqi tank after plastering a "Kick Butt" Boot Hill Saloon sticker on the turret

Me atop a destroyed Iraqi tank...holding the anti-aircraft gun that didn't work.

Me in downtown An Numaniyah...place needs work.

Me on the banks of the Tigris River north of An Numaniyah.

Wouldn't Saddam just crap if he could see Marine underwear hanging from his favorite view?

Three birds hatched the other day in a nest right outside my hooch. The mother bird is very protective and we enforce the no-fly zone around the tree.

The chicken guy photo...there is a chicken farm near our base. At night we can hear automatic weapons fire and see tracers across the sky. At first we assumed these were bad guys...the reality is that farmers are trying to ward off chicken theives by shooting their weapons. Beats ADT I suppose.

The Iraqi kids in the photo were really cool. They are fascinated with our uniforms and they like to shake hands and ask for dollars. Some kids swarm for candy while these kids were very well behaved. The Iraqi people are really cool and like us, they just want to be happy.

Today we found an automatic weapon rigged inside a briefcase. Every lawyer's dream.

The Babylon Gentlemen's Club

Finally, a photo of my buddies from Watch 1. In the front L-R are: Majors Mike Martin and Cameron Quinn. In the rear L-R are: Maj Steve McQueenie, LtCol "Lerch" Rhondeau, LtCol "Hut" Delahaut, LtCol John Morris and me. Of the reservists, Mike works for Merrill Lynch in Boston, Lerch flys for American Airlines, Hut owns his own business in Irvine, CA and LtCol Morrisflys for ATA...I'm an unemployed attorney.
